Packets will be available starting on May 19 in the church foyer.
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works,
which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.
Ephesians 2:10 (ESV)
God commands us to love others. One exciting way you can love others this summer is by writing letters
or even visiting a homebound member! There are some people who cannot come to church because they have
health problems. We want to send them encouraging letters to remind them that they are loved.
Pick up a packet full of supplies and a list of people who need letters. Bring your letters to church and place in the red mailbox, and we will mail them for you. As they receive notes and pictures from you, they will be sure to smile.
Thank you for helping us love our homebound members!
Each child will get a kit that includes:
Construction paper, Stickers, Smile & Visit Tracker Sheets, Recipient Checklist, 14 Smiley Coins (to drop into the foyer
jar after putting each card in the mailbox), Name Labels, & 14 Envelopes.
Here's How it Works
Send-a-Smile - Card Instructions:
- Create cards using the materials provided.
- Place into an envelope and add a name label on the outside of the envelope.
- Check the box under the person’s name (so you know you completed their card).
- Color a square on your tracker each time you make a card.
- Place your cards in the red Send-A-Smile mailbox in the church lobby. Bring a “Smiley” coin for each card you make. Drop your coins into the glass jar (next to mailbox), so we can see all the smiles the group has helped to give!
- When you complete your Smile Tracker sheet, bring your tracker to Anna Sattler and
you will receive a certificate of completion.
Bring-a-Smile - Visit Instructions:
- Contact Ann Dariano to set up a visit with one of the people on the list. Email anndariano@gmail.com
- Visit the person.
- Check the box under the person’s name.
- Color a square on your tracker each time you make a visit.
- When you complete your Visit Tracker sheet, bring your tracker to Anna Sattler and you will receive a certificate of completion.
Cardmaking Ideas:
Draw a happy picture, write a Bible verse you like, tell them that you prayed for them, tell them something that you like doing,
or tell them something you’ve learned about God.
